Abby Abby is such a lucky girl. She found a home with Mary, Michael and Raja. Thanks so much to her great foster family and to her new family. Raja and Abby can spend their senior years together on the couch and taking long walks. Enjoy your retirement years, Abby! |

Reggie now Kobe
Kobe had a loooong ride home. Traffic was bad, but Kobe was
great in the truck. When we got home, I took him for a short
walk on the halti. He was excited and smelled everything. I
let him in the house and he took off running. However, his
excitement got the best of him and he dropped a quick load in
the family room before I could quickly rush him out the back
patio door. That was his house warming gift to us. I decided to
take him for a longer walk, without the halti. I used a slip
collar and took him for a 8 block walk. He likes to pull ahead,
but he responds to short lead corrections. He has had some
training.
When I went up to bed, I fixed his mat on my side of the bed. He
thought that was nice, but decided he liked sleeping in my bed
better, his idea. When I awoke this morning he was on his mat
next to my bed. Stormi is ignoring him and Kobe is smelling
everything in the house.
He is getting better at using the dog-door, but you can see
everything is still new to him here. He showed us some
personality when I was checking out what commands he knows. When
I have him sit and then down, he does the down, but grumbles
about it every time.
Right now he is laying next to me. I am going to take him for a
short ride to get a cup of coffee, then we will go for a walk.
Thank you again for rescuing him. It would have been a real
shame for us not to find him.

Missy Anne Missy Anne looks like she has found the right home. This girl had been kept outside on a chain and didn't know what she was missing until she met Sabrina and Travis and their rescued kitties. They made it snow for her, gave her new toys which she finally figured out how to play with and let her live inside their home - even sleep wherever she wanted. She gets to go to work with her new mom and they even take her on walks! This sweetheart cried out to us and we were able to help her. And now she is one happy Akita girl! This is what living is all about! Thanks to her foster family - Jenny and Thomas. You saw something special in her and worked hard to get her ready for her forever home. Bless you.

Tommy I am quite happy in my foster home and I don't want to leave. My Akita friends accept me as I am - allergies, blindness and yes they even put up with my clumsiness if I bump into them. I know my way around the house and yard and even get to go on rides. My best buddy is Rico, another adopted Akita. Rico has a very soft butt and he lets me sleep using it as a pillow. The other dogs let me eat with them and even hang out chewing on rawhides and squeaking rubber balls. And the people here give me lots of hugs AND cookies. The staff at the vet clinic love me - How could I leave all this??? I'm one happy Akita. |

Bear Bear has decided to stay with her foster family. She loves to go on walks and play with the boys. She is still learning to be an Akita and what exciting things there are in the world for her to see. One of her boys said that every day they've had Bear has been like Christmas so she is now know as Bear Noel. We couldn't ask for a better home for this sweet cuddly bear. Hugs to Bear and her forever family.

INU Inu is one of the most striking dogs I've ever seen and one of the sweetest. And one of the biggest. LOL I don't know she fit under that table. She has moved in with Gretta and is so happy to be home forever. She gets to take lots of walks and spend lots of time with her new mom. Gretta and Inu were made for each other and we are so happy that we were able to bring them together. Enjoy your retirement years and know that you have touched our hearts, Sweet Inu. |

Sammy I am one lucky boy. I was adopted by Vicki and Ryan and have the whole house to myself with all my toys and new mom and dad. They built me a snowman and throw balls for me to chase. I get bored before they do. HA! They even like to brush me. They keep telling me I should use the nice soft beds they brought home for me, but I like to cuddle with my dad and lie on my mom's feet. Mom takes to the school she works at and I've met LOTS of people. I LOVE people. Not so sure about llamas, though. They smell funny and they spit. oh and I get to go to obedience classes with a little girl Akita. I can't wait! I'm so happy!!! |

Sydney (Marli) Sydney got very lucky. Sammy's parents decided he needed a friend and we all decided Sydney was destined to be that companion. The two dogs hit it off right away and Sammy was SO happy. Sydney is teaching him good habits and obedience skills. And the two get plenty of playtime to wear each other out and make walkies easier on Mom and Dad. We couldn't have found a better home for this sweet girl. Keep in mind she was a stray that was captured in a humane trap. How frightening! But she adapted quickly to home life with a big fuzzy brother. Happy days! |

TOBY TYLER Toby is a LONG ways from that shelter in Montana and that home where he was kept on a chain. This boy is a charmer and his new mom fell in love with him immediately. He goes everywhere with her and she takes him on several walks a day. She says they are both getting stronger and building muscles. He is one of the sweetest boys we've ever had in the WAG program and I am so glad he is now in the wonderful, loving home he deserves. He is so happy, he jumps up into the air all 4 feet at once. Maybe he is a circus dog in his dreams. Happy life Toby! |

MAGOO Mr Magoo and Sakura (shown below) were dumped together at a shelter because their owners were moving. They both got a new lease on life but in separate homes across the state from each other. Mr Magoo had entropion in both eyelids and it was never repaired so that was our first objective for him when he went to his new home. (Notice the conehead). He is healing up nicely and I know he feels MUCH better. The added bonus is that he is now living with Missy, another WAG orphan. They were best friends from day one! Magoo has taught Missy that chewies and bones should not buried - they are for chewing. And toys are for having fun! |

SAKURA Sakura, too, has found a new loving home. She has some emotional scars that will need time to heal but she is in the best home possible for that healing. After a good start in her foster home, she is continuing on the road to a full, happy dog life. She is trusting people again and opening up to her new forever friend. Thanks so much to Ingrid for wanting and adopting this special girl. |
